On my travels through the United States I came upon this diamond, Chaco National Historical Park. It took thirteen miles of rough road, so rough it is advised you call ahead to ensure it is drivable, into Chaco Canyon.
I hadn’t researched the park at all, going there only after a passing encounter with a stranger who suggested it. It was the United States equivalent of Machu Picchu, they said… and boy they were not wrong.
There was an energy there that I can’t describe. An energy that I want to go back to, spend more time with. The ruins are incredible and I have attached a few of the pictures I took, as I am struggling to articulate the amazingness of this location. I have traveled to many National Parks and this one holds a very special place in my heart.
