Fear has a very important role in our lives. Fear teaches us safe boundaries, teaches us to connect and listen to our intuition, fear can tell us what direction to head in; sometimes we walk on the path with fear and other times we head the other direction. Fear can give us extra strength, speed, endurance, and even immunity… fear helps to keep us alive.
Yet too much fear has the opposite affect… It will cloud our senses and create self-doubt, it will disconnect us from ourselves and from others, it will take healthy boundaries and create a cages. Too much fear and our immunity drops…
With everything that is going on in our world today we have a lot of fear and with that fear we have a choice. We can lean into fear and allow its paralyzing grasp to wrap around us; disconnecting us from others and potentially lowering our immunity. Or we can lean into love to feel the all inclusive embrace, connecting us to ourselves and others. Instead of looking to fear, you look for things that represent love, feeling it, and be an active participant in creating more of it.
If you are feeling fear, sit back and remember a moment that brought you joy, gratitude, love, appreciate. Sink into those memories. Write them out and re-live them. Notice how your body feels, your mind feels, after.
And… if you are feeling especially brave, share your story with us, to help spread love, one story at a time.
