In times like right now, it can be easy to allow ourselves to be swept away with fear, with judgment, with the feeling of scarcity… it can also be so easy to be swept into the wave of kindness. To notice the kind acts of others or engage in kind acts yourself, to see how brave and creative others are with helping each other, to connect on different platforms in different ways…
We do not have a choice in being taken by this current wave, but we do have the choice with what lenses we wear, how we interact with each other, trusting that things will settle down, and know that even if you don’t have toilet paper, you will find a way to wipe.
Be kind to the person on the other side of the phone, thank the check out teller at the grocery store, smile at strangers, each of those intentional moments lifts spirits. Gives someone courage or connection to move on in their day. Giving them hope…
Love and compassion are necessities… not luxuries.
What have you done that was kind today? What kind acts have you noticed today?
