Maria, my brother and sister – in-law’s Au Pair, shared that every window in her community in Spain had a rainbow in it symbolizing hope. My two nieces, ages 3 and 2, drew these. One of them is for my mother who chose, along with my father, to self-isolate in the beginning of March. All of the grandchildren miss them. They dropped hers off today, seeing her through the sliding glass doors on their porch. Missing her. Seeing her miss them.
Rainbows are beautiful, heart lifting, inspiring. When you keep your focus on the storm clouds or what is directly in front of you, it is very likely you will miss them. Look up and around for the rainbows during storms, they can be found dancing in the clouds or in your house reflecting off something…
With much love I give you these rainbows. May it continue to spread hope, love, and connection with each other. Lift you, if you are low. Know, that every ounce of 3- and 2-year old’s loving attention was fixated on the creation of these. This is a symbol of their love.
